LOSS OF BEST CORRECTED VISION
A very small percentage of LASIK clients may experience irregular healing or an irregular flap, which can cause a slight loss of visual sharpness after your LASIK procedure. This generally translates to a loss of ability in being able to read the bottom 1 to 3 lines of an eye chart. Careful surgical technique and good follow-up care help minimize the incidence of this problem, which may improve naturally over the following year.
It is possible the one of these complications could lead to a decrease in your best-corrected visual acuity. You may lose some of the crispness and clarity to your vision, even while wearing glasses. Usually this change is fairly small and while you may not be able to read the 20/20 line on the eye chart, you will still see the 20/30 or 20/40 lines. |
