LASIK Post Operative Care
The first few hours following your LASIK procedure are critical for healing. Carefully follow the instructions you are given and use artificial tears to keep your eyes lubricated even if they do not feel dry or gritty. Most people are able to return to their normal routines within a day or two after surgery. Avoid very strenuous activity and splashing water in your eyes. There will be a series of follow-up visits scheduled at 1 day, 1 week, and sometimes 1 month, 3 months and then at either 6 months or 12 months after your procedure.
You will likely notice a drastic improvement in your vision the first day after receiving LASIK Eye Surgery, however this is not an indication of how you will see when your eyes have healed. By 3 months after your surgery you will have an accurate idea of how your vision will be. |
