Clear protective shields will be used to protect your eyes from being rubbed or bumped. Do not remove the shields until instructed by your LASIK Surgeon. This will generally be the following morning. Artificial tears will be supplied to help keep your eyes lubricated. They help the eye to heal and should be used even if your eye does not feel dry. Sleeping pills are available in case there is any discomfort. Ideally, you should take a long nap when you get home. Keeping your eyes closed for 4 to 6 hours following the surgery will encourage the flaps to seal further. When you wake up, you are free to participate in non-strenuous activities. . |
